The Lady Jane stopped at Sarah Island, where we were given a tour of the former penal colony and a bit of a re-enactment of the convicts' stories by some of the actors who perform nightly at the Round Earth Company's theatre in Strahan. 

They were very entertaining and brought the story to life a bit ... it is difficult to imagine such a beautiful place as a penal hell-hole, beacuse there is hardly anything left of the buildings - the stone has long since been carted off to be used elsewhere.
